Penha of confrontation of the domestic and familiar violence
against woman.
In face of the some
cases of violence against women who ends or can end
in death, journalist Aureliano Biancarelli tells in the
book "Murders
of Women in Pernambuco: Violence and resistance in a context
of inaquality, injustice and machism" how the mobilization
of the groups feminists have been pressured for effective
public politics of combat to the violence against
women. The Law Maria da Penha is one of the important
instruments for the development of this politics.

The book Saber de Ellas:

launched in Santiago with a collection of texts about the
challenges of the transit between family and work that
the life of women characterizes. The book brings two
prologues, one of the President of Chile, Michelle
Bachellet and another one of Jacqueline
Pitanguy and was edited by
Margarita Errazuriz.
