Cepia in partnership with the National Council for Women's Rights launched a campaign for the right of the women to decide to interrupt an anencephalic pregnancy.
Anencephaly is the most severe of fetal neural tube defects. This malformed disease irreversible and incompatible with life can be detected in the early stages of pregnancy. The Brazilian Penal Code, issued in 1940, does not allow the interruption of a pregnancy in this circumstance.

The Campaign, with media insertions, bill boards, posters, post cards, banners , distributed thought out the country , aims to sensitize the public opinion about the deep suffering and disrespect to a women obliged to carry on with such pregnancy.
The launching of this campaign occurs on a strategic momentum. The Federal Supreme Court will vote this matter this year.
Although anencephaly is irreversible, the law can be reversible and must be in accordance with human dignity.
